Mostly not. UK airport parking has moved almost entirely to card payment and plate recognition, so cash is increasingly not accepted at all.
For a pre-booked space this rarely matters, because you paid online. It matters if you are turning up without a booking, and that is worth knowing before you arrive.
How does payment usually work now?
You book online, pay by card, and the barrier reads your number plate on arrival. No ticket and no payment machine involved.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition matches the plate to the booking, which is why the registration field on your booking matters more than the confirmation email.
What if I have not booked?
You pay the gate rate, by card, either at a machine or on exit. Cash acceptance varies and is disappearing.
The gate rate is the highest price a car park charges, so this is an expensive way to park regardless of how you pay. Booking on your phone before you arrive is almost always cheaper.
The payment method is a detail. The booking is the thing that saves you money, and it is the same phone in your pocket either way.
Do off-airport sites take cash?
Some still do, but do not rely on it. Independent operators vary more than the airport-run car parks.
If you genuinely need to pay in cash, ring the operator before booking and confirm. An assumption at the exit barrier is a poor time to discover otherwise.
What about meet and greet?
Payment is normally taken online at booking, with any extras settled by card. Drivers do not typically handle cash.

What if the barrier will not open?
Use the intercom rather than reversing or following another car through. Staff can find the booking by registration or surname.
Following someone through creates a mismatch in the system that takes longer to unpick than the call would have.
Compare and book ahead at Manchester, Stansted, Luton or your own airport and none of this comes up.
